Please note that this auction went ahead
Congratulations to "Adrian C" and I believe his plan will be refurbished the Targa for his daughters graduation.
Good morning All
The asking price for the P76 Targa is $2500.
If you can afford the price remember "Buyer beware". You have 7 days to make arrangement to remove the vehicle at your own expense. My payment will be made during those 7 days.
Cheers
Stay Safe

First step to owning the Targa
As the perspective buyer you can forward me "your name" "address" and "contact email and a phone number". This can be done via Facebook messenger, or email (yowee_98@yahoo.com)
When I get your details I will allocate you a number against your name and email it back to you. This will be the only identification given out to the public.
Please have these steps finished by Monday 25th January
Second step
I hope to be able to do the draw on 26th January 2021.
As the members of the Leyland P76 Owners Club of Qld are holding a meeting at "OZ Day breakfast and car show", I will ask a member to pick a number. (also some addition draws)
The event will be held Ormiston State School for the Bayside Vehicle Restorers Club.
If you are not able to finalise by the 7 day pickup then next person will get a chance and so on.
I hope you find the sale a good idea.
Adrian

Good afternoon all,
I would like to show off a Targa that will be on the market by early next week. I am treating the ownership as a custodian.
The car is located at a northern outer Brisbane suburb.
This car was purchased some 15 years from regional NSW.
Please inspect and review the car. It has had a hard life but the body is straight.
There are a few issues in that it has not started for 10 years.
There is some rust on the roof, back right rear guard and boot lid. The bonnet has rust in the front corners (another standard bonnet coming with it), the drivers side bottom of the guard is loose.
The engine has red rocker covers so it may not be the original engine.
There is no carpet or boot mat and the head lining needs to be replaced.
There is also a bar missing from the grill.
There is also a set of kick plates in the boot.
A lot of animal dropings.
The pros are
1/ Targa - has all the right indications but not validated. No paperwork
2/ Late model build.
3/ Targa mags x5
4/ Integrated factory air.
5/ Force 7 steering wheel.
6/ the seats look quite good except for the top of the back seat.
7. Electronic distributor.
8/ Power steering
9/ Towbar
Work carried out in 2010 or there abouts.

21st Jan
Good evening all,
This morning we went out the Targa to pump up the tires and that was success.
We took to the engine bay with compressed air and a vacuum cleaner and clean the car up a bit.
Got the rats nest out of the engine bay.
Next we lifted the car and all wheels turn, back very easy while the front were stiff with corrosion on the discs.
A couple of thing we found was that it has a dual exhaust system on stand exhaust manifolds.
There is a large front swap bar and a rear sway bar.
The rear looks like it has heavy duty springs to go with the towbar setup.
We could not open the lefthand front passenger door.
Was able to get a replacement front grill.
You get a dome light fitting and 2 Targa wheel caps.
We also prove that the engine turns over.
The engine has more oil than it should so need to be drained before trying to start.
We did not connect power as wiring needs to be checked first.
There are small rust hole in the spare well are on both sided.
