Yobbie
- A Nutmeg Super V8 column automatic.
- I have owned the car since 1993, where I bought it from the original owners at Boondal. Having been a follower of the cars history and alway wanted to have a P76 and not been in a financial position till then I bought it to see what was needed to keep an old car like that on the road. The interesting thing is I have not had to do much with it. The car travels interstate every year, and has not missed a beat. I average about 23 miles per gallon as I cruise the highways. The exterior is rough and honest, while the interior has been changed to suit the times and feelings. Recently I was able to add a set of louvers. The car is still running the original motor and I have only reconditioned the automatic. I have replaced the alternator and done some temporary rust repairs to the back window, around the fuel tank filler as well to the battery area.
The changed interior
Last June school holidays the Mum and I went on a trip to Cobar, to see an ageing relative. On the way there we drove out St George, Bourke and back to Brisbane on the Newille Highway. The rear right shock broke out near Louth. (between Bourke and Cobar on the dirt road)
White Marina
Morris/Leyland Marina 4 cylinder 1750 cc coupe
- This car was on sold to Dixie after owning it for two weeks. When I picked up the car I had brake problems, the car had been used by back packers travelling the east coast of Australia.
- I was the fourth owner at the time.
Old Red
- This car was an interesting in that it had been modified. The leyland 6 engine which I still have was replaced with a ford motor. Again a lost cause to me the car now resides with Nevile on the Sunshine Coast. The car will be keep in origional condition but I have the origional leyland motor.
Yellow terror

A great buy by myself, have had so much learning, that I consider myself a self taught Marina mechanic and panel beater, but not a good painter.
The End
The Yellow Terror has ended up being dismantled. I believed that it had some bad suspension problems. The engine/gearbox has been sold to Graham and now resides in the Austin A40. The seat have moved into a Morris Marina (Djarmakit). The rest of the car is being stored.
Tassie Devil
- The Tassie Devil was bought mainly to help save a rare car, also to reduce my work load and the satisfy ego. Since purchasing the car in early 2003, from Jamie, I have not been able to get it onto the road yet.
- The executive was origionally "Peel Me Grape" purple colour model with parchment coloured cloth seats, black carpet inside as well as in the boot. I have been told that the car originated from Western Australia. I believe it has spent time in Darwin and Northern Queensland before coming to Brisbane.
- The car came well equiped with new, front and back lights, shock absorbers, alternator, twin exhaust system and tyres. The car also has a good motor, reconditionaed gearbox, rear lourves, power steering and tinted windows.
- On the down side, the rust has appeared in the usual spots around the back window, in the firewall on the passengers side, spots on the skirts of the doors and under the rear stainless splash guards.

- The long and short of this, that while travelling home in a storm in Brisbane, tree branchs fell onto the front of the Marina.
- No insurance no worry.
- That the way it will be.
